Together with our partners we can supply products with heat treatments such as annealing and hardening.
The annealing of a metal alloy is a heat treatment which consists in heating to a temperature usually lower than the melting temperature, followed by a suitable duration and a slow cooling usually in the furnace.
The hardening treatment in general consists in the abrupt cooling of a material after having brought it to austenizing temperature. The high cooling rate inhibits the diffusive processes necessary for thermodynamic stabilization, transfers a thermodynamically competent state at a higher temperature to room temperature. A single crystal thus treated has higher mechanical strength than a slowly cooled single crystal.
On request we also carry out other heat treatments.
